RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - North Carolinians will have a fourth and final opportunity to speak at a public hearing about the state's regulatory plan for hydraulic fracturing next month.
 
The September 12 hearing will take place at Western Carolina University in the Liston B. Ramsey Regional Activity Center at 92 Catamount Road. Things get underway at 5 p.m.
 
The state Department of Environment and Natural Resources said university officials have moved the venue from the John Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center.
 
Those wishing to speak at the hearing must register beginning at 4 p.m.
 
Comments obtained at the four hearings will be used by the Mining and Energy Commission as it drafts rules for oil and gas development in North Carolina.  
 
Written comments will be accepted until September 30. They are accepted at the public hearings or can be mailed to:
