RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - His term as a member of the UNC Board of Governors (BOG) is coming to an end, and now former N.C. House member Ed McMahan will take a seat on the UNC-Chapel Hill Board of Trustees.McMahan, of Mecklenburg County, is a graduate of the university.

Also receiving an appointment from Gov. Pat McCrory is Wake County resident Hari Nath, a retired business owner and current member of the UNC Board of Governors as well. Like McMahan, Nath's BOG term ends June 30.

Both me have been appointed to four-year terms that begin July 1.

The UNC-Chapel Hill Board of Trustees promotes the sound development of the institution within the functions prescribed for it, helping it to serve the state in a way that will complement the activities of the other institutions and aiding it to perform at a high level of excellence in every area of endeavor.
