NC State Professor B. Jayant Baliga To Be Inducted Into National Inventors Hall of Fame Print

RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - NC State electrical engineering professor B. Jayant Baliga will be honored for his invention of a power conductor device that is used around the world when he inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame.

A statement on the website of the University of North Carolina says Baliga holds 120 U.S. patents.

“I am very pleased that the National Inventors Hall of Fame has acknowledged my invention of the Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor by this prestigious induction,” Baliga said in the statement.

Baliga joins 516 other inventors who are in the Hall of Fame.  He will be inducted in May 2016 in Washington D.C.
