RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - The agency head who oversaw the rollout of the Affordable Care Act -- Obamacare -- has announced she will leave her position next month. Marilyn Tavenner has been the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services since 2010.

"It goes without saying that Marilyn will be remembered for her leadership in opening the Health Insurance Marketplace," said Secretary of Health and Human Services Sylvia Burwell in a statement.

Tavenner will be replaced by Principal Deputy Administrator Andy Slavitt, who will serve as the acting administrator.

Obamacare has been the source of constant criticism from Republicans -- and some Democrats -- over the dysfunction of the website and problems in multiple states with the program.
