RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - As the nation pauses to recall the devastation of the Gulf Coast by Hurricane Katrina 10 years ago, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) posted a blog summarizing some of its work to explore the federal disaster recovery efforts.

The blog covers health care, education, help for survivors, transit, and FEMA's nationwide emergency public alert system.

The blog and links to GAO work on each area can be found at http://blog.gao.gov/2015/08/27/hurricane-katrina-10-years-after-the-storm/
