RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - The North Carolina Association of County Commissioners has posted its final 2012 legislative bulletin on its website, www.ncacc.org.

The bulletin analyzes three legislative overrides of Gov. Perdue's vetoes of the state budget, the energy extraction process known as fracking, and changes to the state's death penalty via the Racial Justice Act.

Also summarized by NCACC in its bulletin are budget technical corrections, which divert lottery excess to UNC need-based financial aid.

The legislature adjourned earlier this week after a nearly two-month long short session. Many legislators will  now campaign for re-election. The newly elected General Assembly will convene in Raleigh next January.
