RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - A state audit of the Clerk of Superior Court's office in Alexander County has produced findings considered reportable.

 
Auditor Beth Wood's' office released the results on Thursday. 
 
The Report Summary states:
 
The results of our audit disclosed a deficiency in internal control and/or instance of noncompliance that is considered reportable under Government Auditing Standards. The Clerk’s Office did not compel the timely filing of estate inventories in accordance with state law, resulting in a loss or delay in the collection of court costs and fees.
