RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - With his two bond proposals on the table, Gov. Pat McCrory is taking to the road to tout the benefits of investing in transportation and other infrastucture detailed in the two $1.5 billion bonds.

On Friday, the governor will head to Western Carolina University to lead a roundtable discussion. He will be joined by Transportation Secretary Tony Tata and Budget Director Director Lee Roberts.

The "Connect NC" tour begins at 11 a.m. at the university in Cullowhee. It is open to credentialed press.

The legislature must decide when to put the bonds up for voter approval.

Following the roundtable, the governor will travel to Sylva with Cultural Resources Secretary Susan Kluttz. They will discuss historic tax credits.
