RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - A group of North Carolina towns are receiving state assistance to help pay for necessary water and wastewater projects.
Fifty projects will be funded, according to a news release.
More than $500 million in projects have been funded since January 2014 through the state’s water infrastructure authority.
Monies are awarded through three funds:
-- the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund: 31 projects totalling $42 million
-- Clean Water State Revolving Fund: 14 projects totalling $62 million
-- Community Development Block Grant for Infrastructure Program: 10 projects totalling $14 million
