Governor McCrory Offers Reward in Murders in Durham County
 
Governor Pat McCrory is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murders of Dewayne Carroll Greer, Sr. and his son, Dewayne Carroll Greer, Jr.
 
On June 10, 2016, deputies found the bodies of Dewayne Carroll Greer, Sr., age 51, and his son Dewayne Carroll Greer, Jr., age 18, inside a house on Angier Avenue in Durham. The execution style manner in which the victims were killed indicates it was a deliberate act and they were the intended victims.
