RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - The state board that manages, restores, develops, cultivates, protects and regulates the state's marine and estuary resources has three new members.

 
Joseph Shute, Samuel Corbett, and Anton "Mike" Wicker received their appointments to three-year terms from Gov. Pat McCrory on Wednesday. 
 
Shute is from Cateret County and has run inshore, light tackle and fly fishing charters for the last 27 years in the Morehead City and Atlantic Beach area. 
 
Corbett, from Pender County, is a full-time commercial fisherman who fishes inshore gill net, blue crab, oysters and clams. 
 
Wicker, who resides in Wake County, is a biologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service who does environmental restoration in the state. 
 
The commission consists of a nine-member board.
