RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - No material findings. That's what the state Auditor's office concluded in its audit of the financial statements of the Department of Health and Humans Services, according to the agency.
 
This audit of the department's financial statements as of June 30, 2013, and June 30, 2014, and State fiscal year '13-'14 followed the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), completed in December 2014. That audit also revealed no material findings, the agency said in a statement.
 
"We are very pleased with the results of both audits," said Chief Financial Officer Rod Davis in the statement. "Our budget is in the best shape it's been in for five years. These audits are an affirmation of the progress we've made in achieving more transparency to our budgeting and better forecasting processes. We are currently on budget again this year."
