Governor Roy Cooper signed Senate Bill 476: School-Based Mental Health which require schools to have a mental health plan and training in place.  

Governor Cooper shared this statement on SB 476:

"The mental health of our students has never been more important, and this legislation encourages that support. We still need to invest more in school nurses and counselors."
