RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - New polling data supports the contention that there is a rift within the Republican Party between conservative Tea Party supporters and more moderate Republicans usually referred to as the "establishment."

Rasmussen reports that 59 percent of Republicans say Republicans in Congress aren't doing a good job of representing their constituents' values. Just 29 percent say the GOP is doing a job in that regard.

The number is high, but is down slightly from 65 percent last summer. The discontent among Republicans with their members of Congress peaked in 2009 at a high of 73 percent.
