RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - One Democrat has already jumped in to the 2016 election fray, saying he'll seek the Attorney General's seat if current occupant Roy Cooper runs for governor.
According to the Fayetteville Observer, local lawyer Tim Dunn made the announcement over the weekend at a local church.
Dunn has served multiple tours in Iraw and Afghanistan as a Marine reservist.
He was a congressional candidate in the 1990s.
Cooper has not officially said he will challenge Pat McCrory for the state's top job. Still, political pundits says Cooper's actions and comments indicate that is his intention.
