RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - A new Elon University poll sheds lights on one of the most controversial social issues of the day: gay marriage.
The Elon pollsters asked North Carolinians if the Supreme Court should decide the legality of same-sex marriage for all states, or if individual states should decide.
The majority -- 54 percent -- said leave it to the states. Four out of 10 said it should be legal in all states.
When compared with the entire country, more North Carolinians want the states to decide: 54 to 47 percent.
