RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - Charlotte Mayor Dan Clodfelter's political future in North Carolina's biggest city is on the line Tuesday in the runoff race that has captured state attention.

Democrat Dan Clodfelter is facing fellow Democrat Jennifer Roberts for the party's nomination for mayor. The winner will face Republican Edwin Peacock in November.

Clodfelter was appointed mayor last year after the sitting Democratic mayor, Patrick Cannon, was caught up in a corruption scandal.

Roberts is the former chair of the Mecklenburg County Commission.

Sample ballots for all municipal races can be found at www.ncsbe.gov.
