RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - North Carolina's House Bill 2 is now an issue in the Republican campaign for president.

Delegate leader Donald Trump says he opposes the state law that overturned Charlotte's bathroom ordinance, requiring transgendered individuals to use the bathroom that corresponds to their anatomical sex rather than their identity.

Trump said the state is "paying a big price" and that there have been few problems with these types of laws.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz opposes HB 2. He called it common sense privacy protection. In a tweet, he said men shouldn't be in the bathroom with little girls.
