Democrat Attorney General Roy Cooper has continued to out-fund raise Republican Gov. Pat McCrory. 

 

During the second quarter, Cooper raised $5.1 million in the second quarter compared to the $3.2 million raised by Governor McCrory. 

 

Cooper enters the final months of the campaign with $9.4 million available, to McCrory’s $6.3 million.

 

The candidates aren’t the only ones spending money.

 

Last week the Center for Public Integrity reported that 11 outside groups including the Republican Governors Association and the North Carolina Environmental Partnership have spent $3.7 million on TV ads in the race.
