North Carolina Democratic Party Chair Bobbie Richardson called on her fellow Democrats to "curb Mark Robinson," a violent term the Southern Poverty Law Center associates with the "racist skinhead movement."

Senate Leader Phil Berger (R-Rockingham) said, "We hear a lot about words being 'violence.' Well, the Democratic Party Chair today used a word actually associated with real violence to attack Mark Robinson, North Carolina's first black Lt. Governor. 'Curbing' has a long and vicious racist history, as does the North Carolina Democratic Party. By the standards outlined by the Democratic Party, it would be appropriate for the chair to resign."

Below is the email, signed by Democratic Party Chair Bobbie Richardson, calling on Democrats to "curb Mark Robinson."

In the first half of the 20th century, the Democratic Party beat and hanged black people in lynchings to keep them from attaining equal rights and political power.

In the second half of the 20th century and continuing to this day, the Democratic Party engages in "high-tech lynching" to keep black conservatives from gaining political power.

If a Republican called on fellow Republicans to "curb" a black man, the Democratic Party and its affiliated "non-profits" would be marching in the streets screaming "words matter."

Will they speak with equal vigor against the North Carolina Democratic Party Chair for attacking a black Republican with a word the Southern Poverty Law Center associates with vicious, violent racism?
