RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - State Republicans continue to add to their speaker list for their annual convention in early June. The party announced Tuesday that Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson will be the featured speaker at their Sunday morning Prayer Breakfast.

The event will take plalce June 7 at the Marriott Raleigh City Center in downtown Raleigh.

Entrepreneur Donald Trump, former Ambassador John Bolton, and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker are among the party's lineup.

The party will choose a new chairperson during the annual convention.
 Current chairman Claude Pope is not seeking another term and will return to his business along the North Carolina coast.

Democrats chose their new leader earlier this year. Former state representative and congressional candidate Patsy Keever was elected the new leader, replacing Randy Voller.
